Mayfield Wildcats Varsity got on the board in the first inning when Dominic Piunno grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, St. Ignatius tied things up at one when an error scored one run for St. Ignatius.

St. Ignatius pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Adams singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run and Roggenburk singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

St. Ignatius scored five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by St. Ignatius was led by Adams, Nard, and Roggenburk, who all drove in runs.

Rocky took the win for St. Ignatius. The fireballer went seven innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out three.

Matthew Osler took the loss for Mayfield Wildcats Varsity. The lefty allowed three hits and five runs over three and a third innings.

Austin Ziance, Devin Sperling, Samuel Rapposelli, and Joshua Cope each collected one hit to lead Mayfield Wildcats Varsity.

St. Ignatius collected five hits on the day. Roggenburk and Adams each had multiple hits for St. Ignatius.
