Wildcats News · Updated Training Requirements Following Cuyahoga County Mask Mandate

Following the announcement from Governor DeWine and Cuyahoga County that masks are now MANDATORY in all public places, county-wide, new guidelines are now in effect for all practices and training sessions until further notice per the Ohio Department of Health and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health.
1) All players MUST now wear masks to and from practices/workouts. They SHOULD also have these masks on at all times during a practice/workout where physical activity/exertion is not taking place (classroom/film sessions, team discussion, stretching/warm up type activities that are not cardiovascular, etc). In short, the masks should be removed whenever they may inhibit breathing during heavy activity, but they should be worn at any other time, especially when in close quarters with teammates.
2) All coaches MUST have a mask on at all times unless participating in physical activity with the athletes. This is especially important when in close quarters and providing instruction.
3) (Related/Reminder) There should be NO congregating of any kind that is not related to drills and training activities. This includes bags/equipment in a central location as players/coaches arrive, group/team huddles of any kind, or any other type of congregation that isn’t essential to training. All players and coaches and their equipment should remain socially distanced at all possible times.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This includes any other team activities outside of workouts.
